Fandom High Security Office: Thursday

Bo had to stand in the doorway and survey the room for a few moments when she first arrived, trying to put her finger on what didn't seem quite right about it, and perfectly ready to take the blame for remembering it wrong herself. Until she noticed how the table with the coffee machine on it next to the copier was now a copier with a coffee machine on it, because the room was a foot shorter on one end.

She rolled her eyes and thumped the toe of her boot against the wall she shared with the janitor's closet. "Nice, Fosse! Real nice!"

Still, eh. In the scheme of things, a foot was a foot and that did mean the coffee pot was closer to her desk, so. Bygones. Bo sat, glanced at the camera feeds to make sure no one was eating anyone they shouldn't be or running for cover, then sank back into her chair, ready to drink that cup of coffee and listen to this morning's radio.

RRRRrrrRRRRRrrrrRRRRRRR.

"The hell?!!?" It was a good thing these particular leather pants were wax-treated, or she'd be going with a bit more bleeped-for-syndication-on-SyFy language as she wiped off the coffee. With narrowed eyes, Bo gingerly sat down again.

RRRRrrrRRRRRrrrrRRRRRRR.

Uh....huh. Five minutes later, after a long examination of every item in the office, just in case...

Hercules knocked on the door to the office, then leaned against the doorway.

He was wearing a Santa hat, in addition to his red sweater and jeans outfit.

"I'm here to report a gross problem with security," Hercules said with a seemingly very serious expression.

"Is Fosse wearing leggings as pants again? 'Cause I checked, and I can't actually have him arrested for that. It's just tacky, not illegal."

No, she'd never seen Fosse wearing leggings as pants, except in her imagination just now.

Hercules expression went to one of horror for a moment, then returned to his... admittedly fake seriousness.

"No, but I cannot remember once the chief of security dropping into my office for a surprise inspection," he said. "That seems a shame."

Bo grinned. "Is there something in particular you think I should be inspecting?"

"Well there was a gross incident where someone broke in and turned my office into a fried chicken restaurant," Hercules admitted. "But I suppose there are certain things that could be inspected. I might be carrying suspicious objects, for one."

"...Fried chicken?"

She'd get back to the suspicious objects eventually. But... chicken.

"I possibly should have actually reported that one," Hercules admitted. "But... it smells nice and is colorful. Though I always leave my office feeling hungry."

"...Now I feel like I really do need to investigate your office." Though Bo had her suspicions. "It wouldn't happen to have a sign that says Kentucky Fried Madrox, would it?"

"If there is, I have missed it," Hercules said. "Though I wouldn't put it past him. That tricky devil."

He was smiling just a bit at that. "Did he transform other offices?"

"There was a moose. In a mountie hat." Which was hanging on a hook above Bo's desk, because like she would forget that. The hat, not the moose. The moose was home on her pillow. Shut up.

Hercules raised an eyebrow. "A live moose?"

It was the most important question.

Bo started to answer that, then stopped. "You know, if I say 'No, a stuffed one,' I'll get home and find out it came to life and ate everything in my vegetable drawer."

"That would be bad," Hercules agreed. "Both to find a live moose in your home and to loose anything in your drawers. So forget I asked."

He nodded sagely at that.

"...wait, I seem to have gotten distracted from the flirting."

Subtle.

So very. Bo grinned. "I'm sure it's only temporary. Happens to everybody sooner or later. We could always give it half an hour and try again?"

Hercules laughed at that, he even blushed a teeny bit. "Perhaps that might be best," he said. "Or should I be saying 'Oh, this has never happened to me before'."

"Nah, then you'd be lying. I'm pretty sure getting wiped out of existence distracted you from flirting with somebody." Possibly an Auditor; as someone who'd blown one's head up, it wasn't like Bo could judge. "Which seems like a good opening to say I'm glad you're back."

"It is good to be back," Hercules said. "Though really, after you've died the first few times, it starts getting to be almost routine." He chuckled, because... well, it was funny that he'd died more than once, really.

Bliiiink. Right, he was a god. Former god. Demi. Something. Still... "How many times would that be?"

Hercules counted on his fingers. "The first time was the whole hydra poison funeral pyre thing," he said. "Ares turned me to crystal, once. Then the time I was mutated beyond godhood, and then the time where I was sucked into an alternate dimension that sort of exploded, leaving me sort of stranded in deep space with nothing to do."

He nodded. "And that's just the highlight reel."

"Soooo... basically you spend more time dead than alive?"

"Well no, my father resurrected me as a demigod right after the pyre thing," Hercules said. "And... most of them didn't last too long. I bounce back rather quickly, ready for action."

"That's what they all say."

"Well, I obviously came back as strong as ever from that whole not existing thing," Hercules pointed out. "Do I need to do further demonstrations?"

"See, you didn't even need the full half hour before trying again!"

Zoe was aware that when celebrations occurred, there was usually an involvement of cake. However, Zoe also knew the staff of this school, which was why Bo would find a bottle outside of her office instead, with a note tied to the neck that said:

Thank you for helping to keep the students safe last week. Even the ones we don't particularly like.
